About Job/Description:

The purpose of this assignment is to provide third party quarterly monitoring services on availability of key essential medicines/supplies including SRHR related medicines and supplies at community, health facilities and warehouses) including verification of accuracy of stock reports and registers in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT as part of the UHC benefit package implementation monitoring using the methodology and tools developed by the Ministry of National Health Services Regulations & Coordination.

Responsibility:

support the District Health Officer, Islamabad and M/o NHSR&C to implement the third-party monitoring mechanism on availability of key essential medicines at different levels in Islamabad by  visiting randomly selected  lady health workers, primary health care facilities and warehouses on quarterly basis to check on availability of key medicines including those related to SRHR services.

Physically count the key medicines and indicate the quantity found on the given monitoring form.

Check if there is a Stock Card record of the supplies and find out the last day it was available by checking and recording the date the last stock was finally issued for items out of stock.

Prepare, coordinate and manage all the arrangements required for monitoring and consultations.

Compile a consolidated report of medicines & supplies availability in a Microsoft Excel database and submit to DHO and M/o NHSR&C for review by the 1st day of each quarter along with a 3-4 pager report including graphs and tables for review by the Ministry, WHO and partners.

Verify Stock Cards or Bin Card records of each supply against the quarterly stock reports with the actual data on the ground for example opening balances at the beginning of the previous quarter, total receipts in the quarter, total issues in the quarter and physical balances at the end of the quarter.

Requirements :

Individual consultants: At least Master’s degree in Public Health or Social Science or Information Technology (IT). Demonstrable knowledge of public health/ SRHR/ primary health care issues in Pakistan and telemedicine service delivery.

Consultancy firms: Have a dedicated team of public health/ IT professionals committed to this assignment with demonstrable knowledge of public health/ SRHR/ primary health care issues and telemedicine service delivery in Pakistan. Past experience of implementing a network of telemedicine service delivery centers in Pakistan. Have the necessary authorization to carry such type of work in Pakistan. Demonstrated experience of having worked in all the 4 provinces.
