Responsibility:
- Working with various teams to understand network architecture standards, user base, produce and service offering, performance constraints and growth requirements in PTCL Internet Gateway layer.
- Facilitating with design and development of a robust, highly scalable and resilient Internet Gateway and edge infrastructure.
- Performing data analysis from a diverse number of data sources to help create a long term Internet Gateway network strategy and business cases for augmenting capacities, location and facilities.
- Facilitating by conducting analysis of the existing IP transit and peering connections, performance and formulations of transit and peering policies.
- Planning for network changes to accommodate growth and increase network resiliency and capacity of the Internet Gateway layer.
- Overseeing Internet Gateway design plans to be implemented in the network.
- Managing hardware inventory of Internet Gateway PoPs national and international and RFP preparation for hardware procurement.
Requirements :
- Professional degree in Engineer in Telecom/ Computer Science / Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
- Associate level certification in Cisco, Juniper or Huawei etc. is necessary. Professional level certification will be preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in IP network Planning/Operations/Solution designing in multivendor environment.
- Knowledge of end to end IP network architecture.
- Familiarity with broadband service flows with all the components involved in IP domain and integrations with multiple other systems.
- Understanding of internet peering and transit scenarios along with network scalability and efficiency.
