About: Expansion of PTGD Services to Other Genetic Disorders

• Punjab Thalassaemia and Other Genetic Disorders Prevention & Research Institute is an initiative of Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department, Government of the Punjab. It aims for a Thalassaemia Major free Pakistan. PTGD was developed keeping in view the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the vision of the Government of Punjab. Dr. Hussain Jafri, Director General, PTGD is leading a team of dynamic individuals towards the fulfillment of the goals and objectives of the institute.

1.DNA Lab Consultant

• Lahore, Pakistan

Job Description

• PhD, FCPS, MS, MD or equivalent qualification after MBBS from a university or institution recognized by HEC or PMC; with at least 02 years experience in Human Molecular Diagnosis of Genetic Disorder (preference will be given to candidates having required experience in a public sector organization); at least 02 publications related prevention of Genetic conditions in recognized, peer reviewed journals; or
• ii)PhD, MPhil or MSc in a relevant subject from a university or institution recognized by HEC or PMC with experience of at least 02 years for PHD and 03 years for MPhil and 04 year for MSc in Human Molecular Diagnosis of Genetic Disorder (preference will be given to candidates having required experience in a public sector organization); at least 02 publications related prevention of Genetic conditions in recognized, peer reviewed journals.

• Doctorate : 2 years
• MS/M-Phill : 3 years

• 30-40
