To provide HS&E leadership and facilitate ANPL in developing HSE Vision / HSE Strategy and systems for sustained good HSE performance, and provide support for conformance to HSE Governance requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
- Implement improvement plans to meet AkzoNobel objectives as defined in the Common platform with special focus on SAQ & LSR requirements and ensure that annual SAQ-Reviews are performed
- Work closely with Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) Steering Committee and offer advice relating to HSE matters.
- Maintain ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and ISO45001 Occupational Health &Safety Management Systems (OH&SMS )for the Site .
- Carry out HSE&S daily/monthly inspection/audit.
- Support Line Managers to ensure HSE&S and Corporate HSE&S SAQ are in complying with local HSE regulations, AkzoNobel policy, directives, rules and procedures.
- Assist in incident and crisis management.
- Consolidate HSE reports and submit HSE KPIs to Corporate, BA and SMU and site management and ensure compliant incident/accident reporting via the HSE suit in Enablon.
- Carry out tests and monitoring of waste water, solid waste, industrial hygiene and noise and ensure adequate reporting and communication to local authorities in compliance with local regulations
- Perform annual assessment of safety and health and environmental aspects/ impacts for all departments and update responsible department leaders on the results and make suggestions for improvement and stimulate and support the implementation.
- Ensure implementation of HSE training for entire business and skill training for operation and supply chain.
- Align local HSE Procedures and policies with corporate HSE requirements and cascade this information throughout ANPL.
- Revalidate Hazard Studies of critical safety processes/equipment (catastrophic scenarios) according to new AN matrix
- Facilitate / provide professional and technical advice to EMT members for Management of change, new projects, incidents investigation and lead the process of hazard studies and risk assessments.
- Maintain regular contact with the external HSE auditors and with the internal HSE organization, coordinate for Corporate / specialist and other 3rd party audits, submit the reports from the external auditors to ANPL EMT with improvement areas identified and proposed way forward.
Requirements :
- Requirements for Job (education or experience required to be able to perform this job):
- B Sc Engineering /M Sc Chemistry/M Sc Environment Sciences
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the chemical industry with a minimum of 5 years in HSE role.
- Extrovert with good communication skills, Analytic thinking, Excellent observations and counseling skills, Good influencing, listening and Interpersonal skills, Tenacity, Team work oriented approach with can do attitude, and empathy.
