Actually, Intelligence Bureau from the day on is the part of British Intelligence Bureau which was established by Charles MacGregor – Major General of British Army.

On that occasion in 1885, Charles MacGregor was the quartermaster General and head of the intelligence department at Shimla.

Queen Victoria sent Charles MacGregor to the British army. During the late 19^th century, the main purpose of IB is to keep a check on the deployments of the Russian army in Afghanistan in the fear of the Russian takeover of British India.

After the independence of Pakistan, all Armed Forces including IB was portioned. And Pakistan Intelligence bureau was established in Karachi.

Other Important Points

To short list the candidates at first stage MCQs Screening Test shall be held. Thereafter subjective type Technical Proficiency test of 100 marks will be conducted for shortlisted candidates at the ratio of 1:8 (eight candidates per post) with qualifying standard of 50% marks. Finally qualified shortlisted candidates will be called for Psychological Assessment & Interview.
