Job Responsibilities:
- identify and Analyze user requirements;
- Review and understand business requirements working with cross-functional teams;
- Prioritize, assign and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle;
- Develop and enhance product offerings in accordance with design and consistent with business objectives;
- Ensure that development tasks are completed within timeline provided and that issues are fully tested with minimal defects;
- Conduct code and design reviews for development initiatives they are working on;
- Provide detailed estimates for development efforts as needed;
- Ensure that efficient software maintenance and support strategies are in place.
Requirements :
- BS in Computer Science (4 years)/ masters preferable
- 6-8 years
- 6 to 8 years of Java software development experience using object oriented methodology;
- Expertise in developing Web based applications using Java and JS;
- DB2 or other relational databases experience;
- Extensive development experience with EJB 3, Web Service, JSE1.5, JSP, Hibernate;
- Assembly, deployment, troubleshooting, and monitoring experience of J2EE applications on one of the major J2EE application servers (JBoss, WebSphere);
- Extensive knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, AJAX, XML;
- Hands on experience with DB2 or MySQL databases and available tools;
- Experience working in a team environment using a Source Configuration Management tool such as VSS, TFS, SVN;
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle;
- Familiarity with one of the major J2EE IDE tools;
- Extensive experience developing Business Objects/Crystal Reports/BIRT a plus;
- Development experience using XSL to generate documents a plus.
- Experience of managing a team of developers and have excellent oral and written communication skill;
- Strong Analytical and problem solving skills;
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment providing first line of support to customers.
